NYFW Looks Worth Recreating

New York has a way of making fashion feel a little more exciting. Between the street style, the events, and simply getting dressed to explore the city, NYFW is the perfect excuse to have a little fun with your wardrobe.

This trip, I leaned into a mix of feminine details, classic fall textures, statement accessories, and a few pieces that made me feel especially confident. I also wanted my looks to feel wearable beyond Fashion Week, because the best outfits are the ones you can recreate long after the trip is over.

From a sweater dress styled with some of my favorite designer accessories to an elevated matching set I wore to the LTK party, here are a few of my favorite NYFW looks and how I'd recreate them.

A Sweater Dress Moment ❤️

A sweater dress is one of those pieces I always love having in my fall wardrobe, and this Eloquii rugby sweater dress was such a fun take on the classic.

I loved the sporty feel of the rugby-inspired details paired with the more fitted silhouette. To dress it up for New York, I styled it with Gucci heels and my Fendi Baguette, which instantly gave the look a more elevated feel.

It's such an easy outfit formula to recreate because the dress really does most of the work. Add a statement heel and your favorite bag for a night out, or swap in boots and a more casual bag for an everyday fall look.

And if you've had your eye on this one, it's currently on sale, making it an even better time to add it to your fall rotation.

DENIM + PLAID FOR A DAY IN NYC 🗽

For this look, I wanted to play with some of those classic fall pieces while keeping the outfit fun and a little unexpected.

I paired an Akira denim top with a plaid maxi skirt and finished everything with denim boots, sunglasses, and a tote bag. The combination of denim and plaid felt perfect for New York, especially with the longer silhouette of the skirt adding a little drama to the look.

I also love how easy this outfit is to make your own. You can switch the denim top for a favorite jacket or pair the plaid skirt with a simple sweater for a completely different look. It's a great reminder that you don't need an entirely new wardrobe to create something that feels fresh.

A Feminine Touch 🤎

I couldn't go to New York without bringing in a few feminine pieces, and this Anthropologie look was one of my favorites.

I paired a brown polka-dot jacket with a lace maxi skirt, then kept the accessories simple with ballet flats and a tote bag. I loved the contrast between the structured jacket and the softer, more romantic feel of the lace.

The brown tones also made this feel very fall without being overly seasonal. It's the kind of outfit that works for so many occasions—dinner, a weekend in the city, or even a special event where you want to look dressed up without feeling too formal.

If you're looking for an easy way to make a feminine piece feel a little more modern, try pairing it with something structured or tailored. The contrast can completely change the feel of an outfit.

THE LOOK I WORE TO THE LTK PARTY ✨

For the LTK party, I wanted something that felt polished but still had a little personality, and this Akira matching set checked all the boxes.

The fitted blazer and high-waisted wide-leg trousers create a beautiful silhouette, while the white fabric and black floral detailing along the side give the set something unexpected. I love a good matching set for an event because you instantly have a complete outfit, but you can also break the pieces apart and style them in completely different ways later.

The wide-leg trousers kept the look feeling effortless, while the fitted blazer added structure. Together, it felt like the perfect balance for a night out in New York.

This is also one of those pieces that proves you don't have to sacrifice comfort for a statement look. A great fit can make such a difference in how you feel throughout an entire event.

Final Thoughts

One of my favorite parts of NYFW is getting to see how differently everyone approaches personal style. It always inspires me to step outside of my usual outfit formulas and have a little more fun with what I'm wearing.

These looks were a mix of pieces I've been loving lately, easy outfit formulas, and a few statement pieces that made sense for the city. And while they were perfect for Fashion Week, I love that each look can easily be adapted for everyday wear.

If you're looking for a little inspiration for your next event, trip, or simply want to refresh your fall wardrobe, I hope these looks give you a few ideas to try.
